Finnpack is a matured manufacturer and distributor of printed and plain, plastic and bioplastic bags, films, sheets and other packaging products. Our bags are used by high-street fashion stores, e-commerce outlets, food outlets, supermarkets, hospitals, hotels, pharmacies and more.
Our production plant is based in the outskirts of the capital city of Colombo, in a city named Wattala. We are 6 KM from one of the largest ports in South Asia and a regional hub, the Port of Colombo. Our geographical location, time-zone, and access to any shipping line travelling from the East to the West, or vice-versa, enables us to be a strategic partner to customers all over the world.
With a production capacity in excess of 5 million bags per day, we produce degradable and non-degradable plastic bags in a range of sizes, from small crystal clear freezer bags to large refuse sacks. For decades, we have been manufacturing carrier bags and other bespoke branded packaging products for the world’s leading retailers.
In keeping up with environmental sustainability and e-commerce needs, we also make bioplastic bags, degradable bags, recycled products and on-line shopping / mailing bags.
In 2018, we invested in Solar PV systems which meets 30% of our energy needs for production.

Finnpack provides affordable and sustainable packaging solutions by employing more than 150 employees in a safe and respectful environment, coupled with a healthy revenue generation.

Finnpack is a subsidiary of Liberty Group which was established in 1967. Liberty Group, a diversified corporation, is a pioneering agent for Plastic Raw materials and at present we command a significant market share for polyolefins in Sri Lanka. Some polyolefins were introduced to the Sri Lankan market by Liberty almost 50 years ago. We are agents for some of the leading manufacturers of plastic raw materials, including colour masterbatches and printing inks.
